My Phalaenopsis Orchid Plant Will Not Bloom - Why Not?

The culture is specific to each type of orchids. Anybody that has an orchid should perhaps go to their library or join the local orchid society and certainly visit the Internet to find out about the culture in there area.

Now on the the Phals.

Well your plant must be in good health, which means they must have been watered and fed like any other living thing require sustenance.

To rebloom you must make sure it is in good condition, limp leaves are not going to produce a flower stem.

You would have to make certain that it received 3-4 weeks within a 2 month period of nights which can be 10, 15, or even 20 degrees cooler than the daytime.

We cannot adjust the temperatures during the long cold winter nights, they would be chilled and would die.

From the middle of summer onward till the end of summer we certainly receive at least 2 months of nights which are 15 - 20 degrees cooler than in the days. If we have a good spring, there may be April and May and part of June in which the nights have also been considerably cooler than the nice warm daytime might be then they will also bloom over the summer.
