When did this pollinization, or growing of plants in the
laboratory, become feasible for people?
It was in the 1920’s when Dr. Louie Kanutzen from Cornell
University succeeded with what he called his a septic culture
of orchid seeds.
This process is when orchid seeds are grown in some kind of
flask or dish with an egg or seaweed kind of a jelly that was
previously used to cultivate bacteria.
Dr. Kanutzen used that technique to cultivate bacteria to spread
orchid seeds and it succeeded.
