What is an orchid?
An orchid is a plant which is of a monocot group of flowering
plants. It is unique in the flowering plant world in that the
male an female structures are in with the same structure which
is known as the column and is in the center of the flower. The
pollen is always at the distal end. It also has seeds which
are unique in the flowering plant world in that they have no
endosperm or food supply of food in the flowers sedan you have
to look at them under a microscope to see them. They are unique
also in that respect.
